My brief for this Port Hope engagement session was Country Romantic with some moody shots thrown in. It very important to me as photographer to meet my clients needs. This local engagement shoot in my home town of Port Hope had it all. Preparation is key for a shoot like this, first know your clients needs, then its time to find the best locations and where the perfect light will be. I do have some favourite spots (Ganaraska River, rail tracks, East Beach, Conservation Area etc.) in town but for this shoot I wanted to explore some new ones. For now I will keep them secret 😉 It’s all very well shooting a style for yourself but at end of the day it’s my job to make the couples I photograph happy and look beautiful and relaxed. I always give my clients a tip sheet on what to wear and a little about what not to wear on engagement shoots. I encourage a couple outfit changes and to keep multiple patterns to a minimum. These two nailed it. Excited to shoot their wedding at Waterstone Estate and Farms this coming September.
